Living Well in Your Space
Settle in with confidence
Too often, spaces are arranged quickly—or have evolved over time—without fully considering the factors that shape everyday living. The result can be unnecessary frustration, increased fall risk, and a loss of confidence in what should feel like a supportive environment.
Whether you’re preparing for a move to a senior living community or trying to make your current home work better, the way a space is set up has a direct impact on safety, comfort, function, wellness and daily routines.
I help older adults and their families create living environments that truly support well-being & quality of life. Drawing on 20 years of experience as an occupational therapist, I guide clients through transitions or home resets with a focus on practical, creative & personalized solutions.
My goal is simple: To ensure each space feels intuitive, reassuring, and comfortable - so you or your loved one can move through daily life with greater ease and confidence. I collaborate with families & other professionals as needed to support a smooth, thoughtful transition.
Challenges I Can Help With
Moving into a new space (downsizing or moving into a senior living community) -
When a space isn’t set up well from the start, families often find themselves scrambling to fix problems during an already overwhelming time.
-
Downsizing or moving into a senior living community is one of the most emotional and logistically complex transitions older adults and their families face.
In the rush to coordinate everything, the living space is often set up quickly—without a clear plan for safety, mobility, or daily routines. Those first few days matter more than most people expect. When a space isn’t set up well from the start, families often find themselves scrambling to fix problems during an already overwhelming time.
Move-in support is typically limited or outside the scope of staff services at senior living communities.
After the move, something feels off -
Frustrations and safety concerns often appear once everyday life begins.
-
Moving in is just the beginning. Feeling comfortable, at ease & fully settled in is what comes next.
Many people move into a beautiful space, but over time notice:
Something “feels a little off”
Certain areas aren’t being used
The set up doesn’t feel familiar & intuitive
Your current home isn’t working like it used to -
Changes over time can make familiar spaces harder to navigate and use.
-
You’re questioning if your current space is still working for you.
Do your daily routines feel easy & natural?
Are the things you use the most convenient to access?
Are you using your space the way you expected?
Does your home feel as comfortable as you like?
Do you feel safe performing daily tasks?
