Everyday Matters is a consultative occupational therapy practice focused on helping individuals, families, caregivers, and organizations create practical strategies that support everyday living.
My approach combines occupational therapy expertise with coaching, consultation, environmental adaptions, problem-solving, and individualized strategies designed to fit naturally into real-life routines.
-
Typical occupational therapy often includes direct treatment sessions focused on building skills and addressing specific challenges. While direct occupational therapy is appropriate in some situations, my approach emphasizes helping individuals and the people who support them carry strategies into everyday life. Through consultation, coaching, and problem-solving, I focus on what happens between appointments—the routines, environments, and moments where meaningful change actually occurs.
Everyday Matters is dedicated to supporting function, comfort, and occupational wellness through personalized care, education, and guidance that empowers individuals and families to make informed choices that align with their values and priorities.
-
Yes. Direct occupational therapy services may be recommended when they are the best fit for an individual’s needs. My approach is flexible and may include direct OT, consultation, coaching, environmental modifications, or a combination of these services depending on your goals and situation.
-
The frequency of support depends on your goals, challenges, and the level of guidance needed. Some individuals benefit from a one-time consultation and personalized recommendations. Others benefit from ongoing coaching and support as they implement strategies and make adjustments over time. The goal is not simply more appointments—the goal is meaningful progress that carries into everyday life.

The initial consultation is an opportunity to understand your goals, routines, challenges, and priorities. Together, we will explore:
What is currently working
What barriers are getting in the way
How the environment or routines may be impacting success
Practical strategies and next steps
You will gain a clearer understanding of what may help and a plan for moving forward.

No. Challenges in everyday life do not always fit neatly into a diagnosis. I work with individuals and families who are looking for support with routines, independence, participation, environmental challenges, and finding practical solutions that work in real life.
Everyday Matters is a private, fee-for-service occupational therapy practice, allowing for an individualized approach focused on your goals and needs. A diagnosis is not required to begin exploring how occupational therapy can support your everyday life.

I work with:
Children and families
Adults seeking greater independence or support
Older adults and their families
Caregivers
Home care agencies and organizations
The common thread is not a specific age or diagnosis—it is the desire to make everyday life work better.
-
Yes. Supporting caregivers is a central part of my approach. Caregivers are often the people who are present during the everyday moments when change happens. My role is to provide practical strategies, problem-solving, and confidence so they can support meaningful progress.

Services often include observation of real-life routines and environments to identify barriers and opportunities for improvement.

Everyday Matters, LLC is structured as a consultative, fee-for-service practice that does not participate with insurance. Services are provided directly rather than through traditional insurance-based therapy models. Over the years, I have found that this supports both client and therapist autonomy, allowing for a more personalized and holistic approach to care.
A superbill can be provided for clients who wish to seek potential out-of-network reimbursement through their insurance plan.

That is exactly where we start. Many people reach out because they know something is not working but are unsure what would help. An initial consultation provides an opportunity to understand your situation, identify priorities, and determine the most appropriate next step.
